| Description |
English: This .177" (4.5 mm) pellet (left) was shot at point-blank range from < 17 Joule air rifle. It punched a hole in a Compact Disc and penetrated ca. 250 pages of a phone book pushing a small part of the CD (right) in front. CD was hit from the labeled side and remains of offset print are still visible. Part of aluminum layer shed from the CD due to impact. Note that eye protection is strongly recommended when shooting at similar distance.
Polski: Śrucina 4.5 mm wystrzelona z karabinka pneumatycznego < 17 J z bliskiej odległości. Po uderzeniu w płytę CD wybiła w niej dziurkę, następnie pchając usunięty kawałek plastiku spenetrowała ok. 250 stron książki telefonicznej stojącej tuż za płytą. Płyta została uderzona z zadrukowanej strony i kawałek druku ofsetowego jest widoczny na wyciętym krążku plastiku. Część aluminiowej folii pokrywającej CD odpadła w chwili uderzenia. Uwaga! Podczas podobnych eksperymentów zawsze noś specjalne okulary ochronne. |
