Description
English: A Danish soldier moves through a woodland during Exercie (sic) Aurora 23. British Army soldiers from B Company (Malta) 1 Mercian participate in Exercise Aurora 2023 in Sweden between the 24th of April and the 14th of May. Exercise Aurora is Sweden's largest multi-national joint exercise in over 25 years. It involves 26,000 service personnel from 14 partner nations. B Company 1 Mercian joined forces with a Finnish battalion to participate in a series of training exercises across Sweden to test the international forces' capabilities for cohesive battlefield fighting, defence and successful enemy destruction. The exercise is designed to reinforce the collected capability of all service branches and other armed forces to counter an attack on Sweden.
