Le fort Béar, ouvrage militaire construit au dix-neuvième siècle, est aujourd'hui (en 2015) un lieu d'entraînement (principalement au combat urbain) pour les stagiaires du Centre national d'entraînement commando de l'Armée de terre française. English: Fort Béar dominating the Mediterranean seashore near Port-Vendres, Pyrénées-Orientales, France. The fort Béar, a military building dating from the nineteenth century, is now used (in 2015) for military exercise (elite troops training mainly in urban warfare) by the Centre national d'entraînement commando (CNEC) of the French Army. The closest residence for the CNEC is in the neighbouring town of Collioure (in the fort Miradou) and its hedquarters are located in the Vauban citadel of Mont-Louis (altitude 1,600 m in the Eastern Pyrenees). |
