Summary

Description
English: No. 20 (French torpedo boat, 1878). Photographed at Villefranche, France, in about 1890, following her 1884-1886 refit in which 2 boilers were installed in place of one original unit. Torpedo boat No. 74 (1885-1889) appears behind No. 20, along with several others. No. 20 was built as a spar torpedo boat but may have been given bow torpedo tubes by the time of this photo.
